Dear fantastic families of Lane Middle School! Hope this email finds you well and enjoying our great weather this weekend. This week in Math we will finish our Locker problem challenge on Monday. Then we begin our focus on our next book, Bits and Pieces II. Our focus in our next book will be Fractions, Decimals, Factors, and Multiples. Before we begin our next book Bits and Pieces II, I will be completing a quick review of long division that will help students meet their targeted Common Core learning goal of CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.NS.B.2 Fluently dividing multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm. Our learning target focus this week will be: LT: I can fluently perform operations with fractions. Our first challenge in our book, will be modeling multiplication of fractions.
